On the lighter note 😄

  తెలుగు క్రైమ్ థ్రిల్లర్ సినిమాలు తెలుగు సినిమాలలో క్రైమ్ ఇన్వెస్టిగేషన్ ఒకప్పుడు చాలా ఘోరంగా చిత్రీకరించే వారు. అన్నీ సినిమాలకూ ఒక స్టాండర్డ్ ప్యాటర్న్ ఉండేది. ఒక ఫైట్, హీరో కొడితే విలన్లు ఎగిరి ఆమడ దూరంలో పడతారు. లారీజనాన్ని హీరో ఒంటరిగా తుక్కు తుక్కు గా కొట్టాక ఒక డ్యూయెట్, హీరోయిన్ ఇంకా ఒక గుంపు తో తైతక్కలు. తరువాత కమెడియన్ తో హాస్యం. జనాల్ని ఆకర్షించే అంశాలు ఇవీ. క్రైమ్ ఇన్వెస్టిగేషన్ అనేది పెద్దగా ఎవరూ పట్టించుకునేవారు కాదు. హీరోలు, మెగా హీరోలు ఈ మూసను అనుసరించి విజయాలు అందుకునేవారు. క్రైమ్ సినిమా లో క్రైమ్ ఇన్వెస్టిగేషన్ ఎలా ఉంటుందో ఎవరికీ తెలియకుండా పోయింది. ఈ మధ్య ఒక మూడు క్రైమ్ సినిమాలు చూసిన తరువాత తెలుగు క్రైమ్ ఫిలింస్ తొలిసారిగా ఒక ఉన్నత స్థాయికి ఎదిగాయి అని అనిపిస్తుంది. మొదట హిట్: ది సెకండ్ కేస్ చూసాను. అడివి శేష్ హీరోగా బాగా చేసాడు అనిపించింది.  అయితే హిట్: ది ఫస్ట్ కేస్ ఒక క్రొత్త హీరో తో తీసారు కనుక ఆ తలనొప్పి సినిమా ఏం చూస్తాం లే అని చాలా రోజులు చూడలేదు. కానీ, విష్వక్సేన్ అనే హీరో ఇరగదీశాడు అని చెప్పక తప్పదు.  ఆ తరువాత ఎవరు అనే క్రైమ్ థ్రిల్లర్ మళ్ళీ అ...

Matti Kushti This movie is a Telugu dubbed version of Gatta Kushti, a Tamil movie. It is a total entertainer, with no heavy sentiments or tragic scenes. One can sit back and watch the movie in a relaxed manner and it is a soft comedy for most part of the film. The theme is that a woman is no less than a man in all walks of life and that suppressing her would be inhuman. The narration is in a free and comic way, but without causing offence to either of the genders.  Though the movie has been dubbed into Telugu, the ideas of the Tamil movie are presented without sacrificing the originality. Though Tamil-Malayalam combination of characters and scenes would look natural, the quality is not spoiled in the Telugu dubbed version. The heroine looks good not only as the leading lady, but also as a wrestler. In a way, she filled in the space meant both for the hero and heroine. She looks an out and out Malayali, but that made no difference whatsoever for the viewers from all contiguous state...

Chup -Revenge of the Artist This Bollywood movie is unique in more ways than one. As I happened to see very few films in the last two decades, it became difficult for me to recognise Puja Bhatt when she first appeared on the screen. I could finally recognise her by elimination process only. Secondly, Sunny Deol is the name that prompted me to see this film. I consider him an actor, several times more talented than his father. But his role in the film was something different. Interestingly, in this movie, there is no hero at all. The roles of the protagonist and the antagonist go well together in one role and that is of Dulquer Salman. He has done extremely well and his performance will pave way for his bright future. Mammootty, besides being a great actor himself, has contributed a lot for the film world and that largesse is in the form of Dulquer Salman. This movie has a lot to do with the actor, late Guru Dutt and his last film Kaagaz ke Phool . That film flopped at the box office,...

 ఈమధ్య తెలుగు సినిమాలు పరమ బోరింగ్ అన్న విషయం విదితమే. పెద్ద హీరోల, నిర్మాతల, ఇతర హేమాహేమీల పిల్లలు, కమెడియన్ ప్రక్కన నిలబడే అవకాశం కూడా దొరకని వారితో సమానులే అయినప్పటికీ, ఏకంగా మెగా హీరోలు అవుతున్నారు.  ఇప్పుడు వెబ్ సీరీస్ మొదలవడంతో అందరూ చతికిలపడే పరిస్థితి వచ్చేసింది. ఈ మధ్య వచ్చిన “రెక్కీ” (Recce) ఏడు ఎపిసోడ్స్ తో ప్రేక్షకులను అలరించింది. అందులో “ఆడుకాలం నరేన్” మరియు “సమ్మెట గాంధీ” వారి నటనా చాతుర్యం తో ప్రేక్షకులను అలరించారు.  ఇప్పుడు “ముఖ్బీర్” (The story of a spy) ఎనిమిది ఎపిసోడ్స్ తో ౙీ5 లో హిందీ, తెలుగు భాషల్లో స్ట్రీమ్ అవుతుంది. సబ్ టైటిల్స్ హిందీ, ఇంగ్లీష్ లో లభిస్తాయి. ఇది ఒక అద్భుతమైన వెబ్ సీరీస్. మన మామూలు సినిమాలతో పోలిస్తే చాలా అద్భుతమైన అనుభూతి కలుగుతుంది.  ఆర్టిస్ట్ ల సెలెక్షన్, స్క్రీన్ప్లే, డైలాగ్స్, ఫోటోగ్రఫీ అన్నీ ఎక్సలెంట్.  Hero is really handsome.  ఈరోజు అనగా జూలై 3, 2022 ఈటీవీ సినిమాలో ఎస్వీఆర్ జయంతి సందర్భంగా “జగత్ జెట్టీలు” అనే పాత సినిమా వేసారు. మధ్య మధ్యలో చాలా సార్లు ఏదో ఒక అవాంతరం వచ్చినా చివరి వరకు టీవీ ఆపకుండా చూసాను. ఇంకో సినిమా లో ఎస్వీఆర్ గారు విలన్ నీ విలన్ గ్యాంగ్ వాళ్ళనీ “గూట్లే” అని తిడుతూండేవారు. అయితే ఈ సినిమాలో విలన్ ని “డోంగ్రే” అనీ, వ్యాంప్ (అంటే ఆడ విలన్ అన్నమాట) ని “డుంగ్రీ” అని పిలుస్తారు. సినిమాలో ఇదో రకం మసాలా అన్నమాట. ఈ ఎస్వీఆర్ గారి పిలుపులు చిన్న వయసులోనే లోపల కంఠస్థం అయిపోయాయి. అయితే, నేను ఛత్తీస్గఢ్ లోని బిలాస్పూర్ లో బ్యాంకు మేనేజర్ గా ఉన్నప్పుడు నాగపూర్ ఆర్వో నుండి ఒక ప్రెమిసెస్ ఆఫీసర్ వచ్చారు. ఆయన పేరు డోంగ్రే. అవినాష్ డోంగ్రే. అయితే అక్కడ సర్నేమ్ తో పిలుస్తారు కనుక అందరూ ఆయన్ను డోంగ్రే అని పిలిచేవారు. నాకు ఆయన్ను మిస్టర్ డోంగ్రే అని పిలిస్తే తిట్టుగా భావించి బాధపడతాడేమోనని కొంచెం సంకోచం గా ఉండేది. కొన్ని సార్లు పిలిచాక అలవాటై పోయింది. ఇలా ఒక ప్రాంతం మాట ఇంకో ప్రాంతంలో తిట్టుగా మారే అవకాశాలు ఉన్నాయి. చాలా సంవత్సరాల క్రితం నేను కలకత్తాలో పని చేసేటప్పుడు అక్కడ సంజయ్ ముండా (ఝార్ఖండ్ ప్రాంతీయుడు...
